Do It Tours – Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want your experience with Do It Tours to be easy and stress-free. Below you’ll find our simple refund and cancellation rules so you always know what to expect.

1. Cancelation Before Your Tour

  • Full refund:
    You get 100 percent of your money back if you cancel at least 48 hours before your tour time.

  • No refund:
    If you cancel less than 48 hours before the tour, the booking is non-refundable.

  • No-shows:
    If you are not at the pick-up point at the scheduled time, we must mark the booking as used, and no refund is possible.

This is the same policy used by most tour companies in the Dominican Republic and worldwide.

2. Weather or Situations Out of Our Control

Your safety comes first.

Sometimes a tour must be cancelled because of:

  • Bad weather

  • Unsafe sea conditions

  • Road closures

  • Government rules

  • Technical problems

  • Any situation outside our control

If this happens:

  1. We will try to reschedule your tour for another day.

  2. If rescheduling is not possible, you will receive a full refund.

3. Changing Your Booking

  • You can change your tour date or the number of people up to 48 hours before the tour, as long as we have space.

  • If you ask for changes less than 48 hours before, we may not be able to adjust the booking.
    If the change is not possible and you decide not to join, this is treated as a late cancellation (no refund).

We always try to help, but availability is not guaranteed last minute.

4. Medical Emergencies

We understand emergencies happen.

  • If you need to cancel inside 48 hours due to a medical issue, contact us as soon as possible.

  • In some cases, we may offer a reschedule or a refund, especially if you can provide a short note from a clinic or doctor.

This is not guaranteed, but we try to be flexible in real emergencies.

5. If You Booked Through Viator, GetYourGuide, or Another Platform

If you booked your tour through a third-party website:

  • Their refund and cancelation rules apply.

  • You usually must cancel directly through their platform.

  • We must follow the rules of the website where you booked.

If you’re not sure, message us and we’ll guide you.

6. How to Cancel or Reschedule

Please send us:

  • Your full name

  • Booking number

  • Tour name

  • Tour date

Your cancellation is counted from the moment we receive your message (Dominican Republic time).

7. Refunds

  • Refunds are always sent back to the same payment method you used.

  • Most banks take 5–10 business days to show the refund.

8. Partial Cancellations for Groups

If some people in your group cancel:

  • Tell us 48 hours before, and we will refund those who are not going.

  • If the cancellation changes the price for the rest (for example, private tour minimums), we will let you know the new total.

We may update this policy from time to time. The policy on our official website at the moment you book is the one that applies.
